Skipper MS Dhoni, one of the few Indian batsmen in some kind of form gave the team a huge scare ahead of tomorrow’s 3rd ODI at Ranchi when he was hit on the right thumb by a nasty lifter. It is learnt that the practice wickets at Ranchi are a touch uneven. The good news though is that the injury isn’t too serious and Dhoni is getting through it by icing the sore thumb.
The Indian team manager (logistics) has informed reporters that Dhoni didn’t even undergo an X-ray or an MRI scan. There are some false reports saying that Dhoni had gone for an x-ray. Rather it was just a small blow in the nets and nothing more though other reports in a section of media have hyped the small incident for their own benefits.
