The second T20I at Manchester was abandoned after heavy rain had the last laugh. There could have been a result but rain had lashed out with just five more balls to go for the completion of the 5th over of the English innings.
This has been such a long tour for South Africa – the hard fought win in the Tests followed by the intensely contested ODIs, which the teams shared. They now head into the final leg of the tour, and a highly significant one considering what is to follow.
James Anderson has been included in the England Squad for the three T20Is against South Africa which begins tomorrow. Anderson wasn’t part of the original squad but gets in as a cover for Steven Finn, who is having a stiff back.
