The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) treasurer Arun Dhumal has clarified that the Board has not given any instructions to its players over the kind of food to consume. He said that they have no role in deciding the team’s menu and the players are free to choose what they want to eat.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has hit out at former South African batsman Herschelle Gibbs as well as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) over the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) controversy. While Gibbs claimed that he was being stopped by BCCI from playing in the tournament, PCB alleged that BCCI was interfering in the personal matter of Pakistan cricket. Reacting sharply, BCCI hit back and stated that the Indian board is well within its rights to take decisions with respect to “the cricketing ecosystem in the country.”

Former India medium pacer Chetan Sharma was on Thursday appointed as the chairman of the senior national selection panel by the BCCI's Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). Apart from Sharma, two more former India pace bowlers Abey Kuruvilla (Mumbai) and Debasis Mohanty (Odisha) made it to the five-member panel. Sunil Joshi (south zone), who was till recently the chairman of selectors and Harvinder Singh (central zone), complete the committee.

Ganguly added that the possibility of holding the tournament in front of empty stands is also being considered seriously.
