Yuvraj Singh: The Indian middle-order bat, who has recently been chosen for the Indian T20 team again, holds the record for the fastest T20 fifty. He achieved the same in 12 balls against England at Durban on September 19, 2007 during the inaugural World T20. He ended up making 58 from 16 balls with seven sixes including six in an over against Stuart Broad. India ended up winning the match by 18 runs.

Colin Munro: He took 14 balls for his 50 against Sri Lanka at Auckland on January 10, 2016. Munro hit seven sixes and a four in his unbeaten 50 as New Zealand thrashed the Lankans by nine wickets with exactly 10 overs to spare.

Paul Stirling: The Ireland opener blasted a fifty in 17 balls against Afghanistan at Dubai on March 24, 2012 in the final of the ICC World T20 qualifier. Stirling ended up making 79 from 38 balls with nine fours and three sixes as Ireland defeated Afghanistan by five wickets.

Stephan Myburgh: The Netherlands opener hit a fifty from 17 balls against Ireland during a World T20 match at Sylhet in Bangladesh on March 21, 2014. Netherland won the match by six wickets as Myburgh made 63 from 23 balls with four fours and seven sixes.

Chris Gayle: The swashbuckling West Indian opener blasted a fifty from 17 balls against South Africa at Cape Town on January 9, 2015 during the first T20 of the series. West Indies were chasing 166 to win, and Gayle’s 77 from 31 balls inclusive of five fours and eight sixes took them to a four-wicket triumph.

David Warner: The Aussie opener hit a half-century from 18 balls against West Indies at Sydney on February 23, 2010. This was the second T20 of the series, and Warner made 67 from 29 balls with five fours and seven sixes as Australia won by eight wickets.

Glenn Maxwell: The Aussie hit a fifty from 18 balls against Pakistan at Mirpur during a World T20 match on March 23, 2014. Maxwell made 74 from 33 with seven fours and six sixes, but Pakistan successfully defended 191.

David Warner: The Aussie opener smashed a fifty from 19 balls against South Africa at Melbourne on January 11, 2009. Warner ended up with 89 from 43 balls with seven fours and six sixes as South Africa were defeated by 52 runs.

Gautam Gambhir: The former India opener registered a fifty from 19 balls against Sri Lanka at Nagpur on December 9, 2009. Gambhir ended up making 55 from 26 balls with 11 fours, but India faltered chasing 216.

Martin Guptill: The Kiwi opener slammed a fifty from 19 balls against Sri Lanka at Auckland on January 10, 2016. Guptill blasted 63 from 25 balls with six fours and five sixes as New Zealand thrashed the Lankans.
